ABOUT US

Dark Design is a devoted modern furniture-maker and designer with a workshop in downtown Johannesburg. We specialise in custom-made furniture from solid and veneer wood, sourced from both local and exotic timber.

How we design

Our experienced designers will develop an idea with you until it becomes the creative piece you seek. The first and most creative phase is to create the furniture in 3D design software. This allows for easy changes and modifications to suit your personal style and preferences. In the second phase, our team will offer you options on wood and finishing, to ensure you get something special that fits your budget.

Finally, your design is greeted by the warm embraces of our bearded craftsmen. Traditional carpentry meets modern tools to create real furniture.
